Taking shots in low lighting is pretty tricky and usually requires a tripod or a steady hand, especially when you don't have the luxury of a VR type lens. I took these shots hand held with a wide aperture lens (F1.8) to maximize the amount of light on the cameras sensor. Its always fun to bend the rules and find light sources other then the cameras flash, for example a simple table lamp or a LED flashlight.
